Columbia River Mensa normally holds monthly dinner meetings on the fourth Saturday of the month, with other events, such as games nights, social get-togethers, plays and festivals, etc., scheduled throughout the year. Encompassing such a large geographical area, we try to cover a lot of ground. If you would like to suggest or host an event anywhere in our area, please contact local secretary Bill Sheretz.
Testing for Membership
The only qualification for Mensa membership is a score in the top 2% of the general population on a standardized intelligence test. Scores are accepted by one of two means:
Evidence of Prior Testing
American Mensa accepts scores from approximately 200 different standardized intelligence tests. If you have already taken such a test, you can submit the scores of that test to qualify.
The Mensa Admissions Test
If you haven't taken an intelligence test or cannot locate your prior testing scores, you can take the Mensa Admissions Test, administered by a certified Mensa proctor. This battery of two tests is offered at the local level several times per year.
Email the testing coordinator at Testing for information regarding upcoming tests in this region.
